Transport and thermodynamic properties of low-dimensional disordered systems

  • Low-dimensional frustrated magnetic systems.
  • Transport and thermodynamic properties of low-dimensional strongly-correlated disordered conductors.
  • Quantum computing and quantum information theory.

Main achievements:

  • The ground state structure of lattice systems with a long-range interparticle repulsion. Electron's stripe formation and effective lowering of the system dimension have been discovered.
  • The ground state structure of one-dimensional electron system on disordered lattice. The mechanism of long-range ordering breaking was discovered.
  • Wigner crystal instability in "weak" external electric fields.
  • The structure of magnetization plateau in classical and quantum Shastry-Sutherland model. (see MCSSN project)
  • The Absence of the Selfaveraging Property of the Entanglement Entropy of Disordered Free Fermions in One Dimension.
