Objective of the ARW:

A detailed consideration of the collective phenomena that are relevant for magnetic-field sensitive materials. Examples are: spin waves in systems with a magnetically ordered ground state, or critical currents in superconductors. In order to obtain the most general and consistent outcome with potential for application in design and manufacturing of smart materials for ranging systems, the following agenda is developed: 1. In-situ formation and characterization of solid-state structures with specified properties; 2. Observations of the ordered states, their macroscopic manifestation and dynamics under external action; 3. Mobility of the magnetic structures and the ways it can vary; 4. Experimental tools; 5. Kinetics of magnetic ordering transitions.

MEETING VENUE

The ARW will meet in Krasnoyarsk http://tlcom.krs.ru/index.cgi?l=e, one of the most exotic and important cities in the Eastern Siberia and geographical centre of Russia, 29th August 1st September 2004 just after EASTMAG-2004 “Modern trends in magnetism” http://eastmag-2004.kirensky.ru/  This should allow EASTMAG participants to stay on after EASTMAG for the ARW meeting which follows the EASTMAG and vise versa.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Those, who needs Russian visa should apply for Russian visa in the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate. For that an official invitation letter is required. According to the Russian law, an official invitation is generated on the basis of a passport copy and must be registered in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
